Welcome to Cafefoxx

…A place where you can put down your bag, rest your coat on the back of a chair, lighten your load, and partake in relaxing and uplifting pursuits.

Have a cup of coffee, or a cup of tea and a light bite…anything that will help you to breathe easier while you sit back, read and share.

My reason for venturing into the internet universe and opening the doors of Cafefoxx is driven by my passion to share the double revelation that: life is to be lived and in order to have a meaningful, successful, beautiful, balanced life, we have to be committed to living.

A couple of months ago completed Mitch Albolms book, Have a Little Faith.   In that book he referred to the wise words contained in the Modeh Ani, the prayer that observant Jews utter from their lips each morning, I thank you living and eternal King, for returning my soul within me in compassion. Great is Your faithfulness.

These words profoundly impacted me because they answered a question I have been struggling with for years.  The question, I am sure, has haunted some of you as well and it can become as loud as waves crashing against a rock.  The question is: why continue living. The response came to me silently, knowingly, and with an encouraging tone: because you are replenished whenever you sleep and your soul is allowed to rest.

Soon after this another truth emerged: life and whether to continue it or stop it, is not my call; I was called to live.

Each morning I am furnished with a replenished soul that has been given new opportunities, renewed mercies, and a fresh start to enjoy living.  Of course work, schedules, people and events happen.  I have learnt that we can either use them to teach us about living or to let them discourage us from living.

But back to Cafefoxx!

It is my prayer that through this medium, we learn to live a joyful, meaningful life and that we come to appreciate the priceless gift of a new day.  It is only then that we will truly recognize that each day, each experience, shapes our lives.
